Greetings, Sorors:
My name is Mary Ingram
I am your Pacific Regional Representative to the International Nominating Committee, and it is my job to encourage Sorors of our phenomenal region to become future candidates for leadership in our great sorority. It is also my job to help ensure a fair, respectful, and compliant process is adhered to in our region's election processes. It is also my job to let you know that all Regional Executive Board positions are open for nominations. Please consider running for a position, and if you have any questions after reading the requirements and criteria, do not hesitate to contact me.

REGIONAL EXECUTIVE BOARD CANDIDATE GUIDELINES
General Information

All candidates running for a regional office must declare their candidacy by submitting a candidate application no later than April 27, 2025, 11:59:59 PM (PST).

Applications received after April 27, 2025, 11:59:59 PM (PST) may be considered if they are running from the floor.

A candidate may seek only one (1) office.

Please attach one (1) copy of a professional resume.

Please attach one (1) copy of a Zeta resume (information can be included on a professional resume in lieu of a separate document)

Please attach one professional headshot.

Please attach one (1) copy of a letter of intent.

Please attach proof of registration/attendance of one Boule, one Regional Leadership Conference, and one State Leadership Conference. (Not required for Undergraduate Member-At-Large).

Proof of financial status for the last three (3) years (Not required for Undergraduate Member-At Large).

Please attach proof of ZOL certification (if applicable)

A candidate may campaign for the regional office as described in the campaign rules. Campaign speeches have time limits set by the Regional Election Committee.

Candidates running from the floor must have the application form signed and ready for submission within 30 minutes of the closing of nominations, along with all supporting documents.

Specific Standards

All candidates must register and attend the current Pacific Regional Leadership Conference.
-
All candidates must be financial and have “active” membership status.
-
All candidates must have an endorsement of their local chapter (chapter Basileus’ signature required).

All candidates must have experience (within Zeta or professionally) related to the position they are seeking
-
All candidates must be available to fulfill the obligations of the office during their tenure.

All candidates will respect the nomination, election, and campaign guidelines.

All candidates should be familiar with the current edition of the Pacific Region Bylaws.

Effective September 1, 2005, all regional officers are required to complete ZOL Training as a prerequisite to holding a regional office. Should a candidate not possess ZOL certification at the time of their application, should they be elected, ZOL Training must be completed within one (1) year of their election. Means to accomplish this requirement will be at the candidate’s own responsibility and expense.

Each newly elected officer is required to attend the Regional Executive Board transition meeting immediately following the last meeting of the Regional Leadership Conference.
